‘MobLand’ Season 2: A Chaotic Journey into the World of Organized Crime
The highly anticipated second season of the crime drama ‘MobLand’ is set to premiere on Paramount+ on September 18. The show promises to deliver an explosive and action-packed ride, delving into the dark underbelly of organized crime in north London.
Starring Tom Hardy as the charismatic mob fixer Harry De Souza, Pierce Brosnan as the ruthless Irish gang leader Conrad Harrigan, and Helen Mirren as his cunning wife Maeve, the second season of ‘MobLand’ is poised to surpass its predecessor in terms of intensity and drama.
As seen in the teaser trailer, the Harrigans are on the brink of civil war, struggling to maintain a united front as rival gangs emerge to threaten their empire. Harry, caught in the middle, must navigate this treacherous landscape to keep his family and business interests intact.
The cast of ‘MobLand’ Season 2 also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allen, Emmett J. Scanlan, Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Janet McTeer, and Toby Jones, all of whom bring their unique talents to the show.
Executive producer Guy Ritchie, creator, writer, and executive producer Ronan Bennett, writer/exec producer Jez Butterworth, David C. Glasser’s 101 Studios, and Paramount Television Studios have all come together to bring this gripping tale of crime and family dynamics to life.
However, the journey to this point has not been without its challenges. Following a season 2 renewal in June 2025, there were concerns that Tom Hardy might leave the show due to creative differences with writer and showrunner Jez Butterworth. Fortunately, a resolution was reached, paving the way for the show’s continued success and a potential season 3 renewal.
The first season of ‘MobLand’ was a massive hit for Paramount+, becoming the streamer’s second-biggest launch for an original series behind ‘Landman’. With its blend of gritty realism, intense action, and complex characters, ‘MobLand’ Season 2 is sure to captivate audiences worldwide.
