Ultrahuman Ring Pro: The Next Generation of Wearable Technology
Ultrahuman’s latest innovation, the Ring Pro, has finally arrived, and I’m excited to share my hands-on experience with this cutting-edge wearable device. The Ring Pro is an upgrade from the previous Ring Air model, offering improved features and a sleek new design. In this article, we’ll delve into three aspects that have caught my attention: the incredible battery life, the smart case’s innovative features, and the elegant new design.

Battery Life: A Game-Changer
One of the standout features of the Ring Pro is its impressive battery life. I’ve been wearing the ring for almost three days, and the battery is only at 78%. This translates to a battery life of around 13 days at this rate, which is more than double the five to six days I got with the Ring Air. This significant improvement is a testament to Ultrahuman’s commitment to innovation and user experience. To put this into perspective, the Oura Ring 5, a popular competitor in the wearable market, offers a battery life of around a week. The Ring Pro’s battery life is a clear winner in this regard.
What’s even more impressive is that I accidentally left the ring in Turbo Mode, which samples data more frequently and drains the battery faster. Despite this, the battery life is still impressive, and I’m confident that the estimated 15 days of battery life with the charging case is achievable. The charging case, which stores multiple full charges for the ring, is a game-changer for users who want to enjoy their wearable device without worrying about battery life.
The Smart Case: A Symphony of Sound and Light
The Ring Pro’s smart case is a marvel of innovation. The case is designed to facilitate diagnostics and hard resets, making it easier to troubleshoot any issues with the ring. What’s more exciting, however, is the case’s ability to play sound effects and provide haptic feedback. The entire front lip of the case is an LED indicator light, which can glow or pulse in different colors depending on the situation. This feature is not only functional but also adds a touch of personality to the ring.
The case’s sound effects are another notable feature. When you set up the ring, you’ll hear a tone that’s reminiscent of a singing metal sound bowl. The case can also play a sound if you lose it, making it easier to locate. While I haven’t yet determined whether it’s possible to set the morning alarm to play through the case instead of using your phone, this is definitely a feature worth exploring.
A New Design: Simple, Elegant, and Secure
The Ring Pro’s design is a significant departure from its predecessor. The ring is thicker than the Ring Air, but what’s more interesting is that the inside of the ring is made of the same smooth metal as the outside. This attention to detail makes the ring feel premium and durable. Other smart rings often have a clear epoxy-like layer on the interior, but the Ring Pro’s design eschews this in favor of a more minimalist approach.
The new design also includes two break points where the ring can be pried apart in an emergency. This is a thoughtful touch that adds an extra layer of security to the ring. While the ring’s appearance may not be revolutionary, its design is certainly elegant and simple, making it a pleasure to wear.
