FOX, Hulu, and 20th Television Animation have announced the voice cast for the upcoming ‘Family Guy’ spinoff, ‘Stewie.’ The show, which is set to premiere in the 2027-28 season on the network and stream next day on Hulu, boasts a talented ensemble of voice actors, including the show’s titular star, Seth MacFarlane, who will be pulling double voiceover duty.
The voice cast also includes SNL-ers Kenan Thompson and Vanessa Bayer, The Rookie star Melissa O’Neil, and Family Guy’s Mike Henry, Aaron Lee, and Jessica Lowe. MacFarlane will be voicing both Stewie and Bean, Stewie’s classmate who was dropped on his head one too many times.
Henry will be voicing BJ, Stewie’s gossipy new classmate, and son of Family Guy’s Bruce, a neighbor of the Griffins, who is also portrayed by Henry. Thompson will be voicing Royal, one of Stewie’s new friends who’s got a ‘Hell no’ attitude about the hazards of Stewie’s adventures.
Bayer will be voicing Morgan, Stewie’s teacher, who should probably spend more time watching the kids, and less time partying. In her animation debut, O’Neil will be voicing Wanda, Stewie’s intellectual soulmate and object of affection.
Lowe will be voicing Caroline, a wannabe influencer, and Stewie’s formidable classroom nemesis. Lee will be voicing Skunk, the hundred-year-old class turtle. The show, which was created by MacFarlane and Kirker Butler, follows Stewie after he gets kicked out of his old preschool and is forced to enroll in a new one that’s not exactly top-of-the-line.
Stewie’s miserable, the other kids are miserable, even the turtle is miserable, but Stewie’s adventures soon turn every boring day at school into an insane and unforgettable one. The show will be executive produced by MacFarlane via his Fuzzy Door banner, with Butler serving as showrunner.
The voice cast is a talented ensemble of actors, each bringing their unique talents to the show. Thompson, the longest-tenured Saturday Night Live cast member with 23 seasons under his belt, is repped by Range Media Partners. Bayer, who recurs on ABC’s Scrubs reboot, is repped by WME, Rise Management, and JTWAMM. Henry, who also co-created and starred in Family Guy spinoff The Cleveland Show, is repped by UTA and JSS&K.
Lowe, known for her starring roles in TBS’s Wrecked and comedy Minx, is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners. O’Neil, who in addition to The Rookie, starred in Syfy’s Dark Matter, is repped by Amplified and The Talent House. Lee, whose writing/voiceover credits also include Duncanville, is repped by WME.
MacFarlane, who also has an upcoming Ted animated series for Peacock, is repped by WME, Joy Fehily Management & Consulting, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. With its talented voice cast and exciting premise, ‘Stewie’ is shaping up to be a must-watch show for fans of animation and comedy.
