We’ve known for some time now that Edward Bluemel would be taking on the iconic role of Belgian detective Hercule Poirot in the upcoming BritBox and BBC series ‘Hercule’. Now, the streaming platform and the BBC have shared the complete list of talented actors set to join Bluemel in this adaptation of Agatha Christie’s works.

The cast of ‘Hercule’ boasts an impressive array of established actors, each bringing their unique talents to the table. The list includes:

  • Henry Ashton, best known for his role in ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’
  • James D’Arcy, a veteran of the screen with appearances in ‘Oppenheimer’ and ‘Amelia’
  • Calvin Demba, who has made a name for himself in ‘Supacell’ and other projects
  • Phil Dunning, a talented young actor with a string of notable roles under his belt, including ‘Smoggie Queens’
  • Jack Gleeson, known for his iconic portrayal of Joffrey Baratheon in ‘Game of Thrones’

Mammoth Screen founder Damien Timmer has also served as executive producer on the classic ITV series ‘Agatha Christie’s Poirot’, starring David Suchet as the iconic detective.

The global distribution rights for ‘Hercule’ have been acquired by Fifth Season, with the series set to make its debut on the BBC and BritBox in North America in 2027.

As the MIPCOM sales market approaches in October, ‘Hercule’ is shaping up to be a hot presale property, with audiences and industry professionals alike eagerly anticipating the release of this highly anticipated series.
