Tribeca Enterprises, the parent company of the prestigious Tribeca Festival, has made a significant move to strengthen its commercial operations. The company has appointed Janet Brown, a highly experienced executive with a proven track record in the global media landscape, as its new Chief Commercial Officer.

Janet Brown joins Tribeca Enterprises from BBC Studios, where she served as President of Global Content Sales and Investment Strategy. In this role, she played a pivotal part in building BBC Studios into the top UK television distributor, with annual revenues exceeding $530 million. Her responsibilities spanned content licensing, co-productions, direct-to-consumer services, FAST channels, AVOD, home entertainment, and digital platforms.

Brown’s appointment comes as Tribeca Enterprises continues to expand its portfolio of businesses, including Tribeca Studios, Tribeca Films, and production company m ss ng p eces. The company’s year-round slate of live events and activities has necessitated the creation of a new commercial strategy, which Brown will oversee as Chief Commercial Officer.

Janet Brown will report directly to Tribeca Enterprises CEO Rebecca Glashow, who was appointed last fall. The two executives have a shared history, having worked together at BBC Studios. Brown’s entrepreneurial vision, commercial expertise, and deep industry relationships make her an ideal fit for the role.
