The highly anticipated Apple TV drama series, Nocturne, has finally set its premiere date. The show, previously known as Lazarus, is set to hit the screens on Friday, October 30.

Nocturne is an adaptation of the Lars Kepler novels, Lazarus and The Sandman. The series is developed by writer and executive producer, Rowan Joffe, and John Hlavin, who will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.

The show revolves around the story of Jonah Lynn, a former soldier turned homicide detective, played by Liev Schreiber. He leaves his tough job in Philadelphia and moves to a small town in Western Pennsylvania for a quiet life. However, his life takes a drastic turn when a diabolically cunning serial killer, Jurek Walter, played by Stephen Graham, starts attacking his town and family.

As Jonah tries to protect his loved ones, he sends his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer, played by Zazie Beetz, to track down Jurek. But how far will Jonah go to keep his family safe? The series explores the complexities of human relationships, family dynamics, and the lengths one will go to protect the people they love.

Nocturne boasts an ensemble cast, including Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, Poorna Jagannathan, and Gary Carr. The series is produced by A+E Studios in association with Range Studios. Tim Van Patten directs the first two episodes and serves as executive producer. In addition to starring, Schreiber and Beetz also executive produce the show.
