Tragedy Strikes at Seattle’s Summer Food Festival
Seattle, Washington – In a shocking turn of events, a violent shootout erupted at the city’s annual summer food festival, leaving three people dead and four others injured. The incident occurred on Sunday evening, just hours before the festival’s scheduled closing time.
According to eyewitnesses, the shooting took place near the Space Needle at the Seattle Center, where the three-day Bite of Seattle food festival was being held. The event, which attracts over 350,000 attendees annually, was in its final day when the violence broke out.
Seattle Fire Department spokesperson Grace Nunez confirmed that crews responded to reports of a shooting shortly after 6 p.m. local time. Two people were declared dead at the scene, while a third victim later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Bob Ferguson also weighed in, offering his support and assistance in the investigation.
The incident has left the community reeling, with many attending the festival expressing shock and sadness at the events that transpired. As the city begins to come to terms with the tragedy, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
