2026 MLB All-Star Game: Full Rosters Unveiled

The highly anticipated 2026 MLB All-Star Game is just around the corner, with the full rosters unveiled for the Midsummer Classic. This year’s game will take place on Tuesday, July 14, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, marking a grand finale to a mini-celebration that includes the 2026 MLB Draft (July 11-12), the Futures Game (July 12), and the Home Run Derby (July 13).

As is tradition, the All-Star Game starters were determined by fan vote, with Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani and Blue Jays infielder Ernie Clement receiving the most votes in their respective leagues, thereby skipping the second phase of voting entirely. The rest of the roster was determined by a combination of player voting and selections made by the commissioner’s office.

At the team level, the Phillies, thanks to the late addition of Jesús Luzardo, led all comers with six All-Stars, closely followed by the Dodgers and Braves with five selections each. In the American League (AL), the Yankees, Blue Jays, and Rays topped the circuit with four selections each. Notably, each of MLB’s 30 teams has at least one All-Star representative, making this a truly inclusive and representative selection.

On July 8, MLB announced that Commissioner Rob Manfred has added future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander to the AL All-Star roster as a Legends Pick. Verlander, who has been dealing with hip and hamstring injuries since March 30, will not pitch in the All-Star Game but will attend and be honored during the festivities. In a poignant moment, Verlander also announced that 2026 will be his final season, bringing an end to an illustrious career.

The National League (NL) will be managed by Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts, a nice bonus after leading his squad to last year’s World Series title. The American League, meanwhile, will be helmed by Blue Jays manager John Schneider. Each manager will select their team’s starting pitcher in the coming days, adding an exciting layer of strategy to the All-Star Game.
