Nickelodeon’s San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Plans Revealed
This year’s San Diego Comic-Con is set to be an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages, courtesy of Nickelodeon’s immersive and interactive events.
Booth #4113 on the convention center floor will be transformed into the ‘Fun-Ergy Factory,’ where attendees can engage in a variety of activities inspired by beloved Nickelodeon franchises. These include Spongebob Squarepants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Interactive challenges and immersive experiences will allow fans to generate ‘fun-ergy,’ culminating in a spectacular Slime Surge that will be a highlight of the convention. Additionally, the ‘Enter the Splat’ tactile fully immersive environment will transport visitors into the iconic world of Nickelodeon, offering surprise photo and video moments.
Another exciting feature of the Fun-Ergy Factory will be the sewer lair photo opportunity, where fans can pose alongside the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The booth will also showcase a range of retail items, including exclusive collectibles and limited edition art prints.
Talent and character appearances will take place throughout the convention, along with daily giveaways that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.
Fun Flows Here: Outdoor Activation at The New Children’s Museum Park
Located at The New Children’s Museum Park (200 W. Island Ave.), the ‘Fun Flows Here’ outdoor activation promises to be a thrilling experience for the whole family. This multi-activity event is free to the public and will take place from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, July 26.
The highlight of the outdoor activation will be an interactive stage show hosted by Kids Imagine Nation, featuring performances, games, and entertainment inspired by fan-favorite series, including Paw Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Thundermans, and Star Trek: Scouts.
Other exciting features of the outdoor activation include shareable photo installations featuring Spongebob Squarepants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Kids’ Choice Awards. A signature Nickelodeon slime booth will give select fans the chance to step inside and get drenched in the iconic green goo.
A family movie night will take place on Friday, July 25, with a screening of The Spongebob Movie: Search For Squarepants. Hands-on experiences will include Nickelodeon Our World kids’ empowerment activities, make-your-own slime, and bubble play for fans of all ages.
Live animated character-drawing demos, DJ sets, prize raffles, and giveaways will ensure that the Fun Flows Here outdoor activation is an event not to be missed.
Museum members will receive an exclusive invitation to a special preview event on Thursday, July 23. Note that The New Children’s Museum will be closed to the public from July 21 to 26 and will reopen on Monday, July 27.
