Stardew Valley Joins the Magic the Gathering Universe
Deep in the mines, there are creatures that shouldn’t exist. But for fans of the beloved farm sim Stardew Valley, there’s now a new reason to venture into the unknown. Wizards of the Coast has announced a collaboration between Stardew Valley and Magic the Gathering, bringing the world of the Ferngill Republic to the iconic trading card game.
At MagicCon: Amsterdam on July 17, 2023, the Superdrop was announced, featuring three Secret Lair drops that will arrive on July 27, 2026, at 9am PT on the Secret Lair website. Non-foil editions of Secret Lair x Stardew Valley will be available at WPN game stores at a later date.
The Superdrop includes three drops that bring the world of Stardew Valley to Magic the Gathering. The first card is ‘Stardew Valley,’ a land card featuring artwork from the game’s creator, ConcernedApe. This card allows players to tap a creature they control, create a food token, choose a target permanent under their control, and give another player control of that permanent. It’s a lovely tribute to Stardew Valley’s gift-giving system and an excellent way to forge bonds across the table.
Additionally, select bundles will include ‘Puca’s Mischief,’ a Lucky Purple Memento foil card that allows players to exchange a nonland permanent with another player, so long as it’s of equal or lesser mana value. Wizards of the Coast has included a preview of all cards included in the Superdrop, as well as all available bundles.

- 1x Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth as ‘Valley Farmstead’
The Secret Lair x Stardew Valley: A Flicker in the Deep bundle includes:
- 1x Atsushi, the Blazing Sky as ‘Royal Serpent’
- 1x Sword of Forge and Frontier as ‘Galaxy Sword’
- 1x Treasure Token
