EXCLUSIVE: In a highly anticipated new project, a talented ensemble cast is set to bring to life the gritty, atmospheric world of 1930s San Francisco in the upcoming noir drama ‘Fog City.’ The film, directed by Dan Pritzker, boasts an impressive lineup of actors, including Cooper Koch, Angus Imrie, Sarah Bolger, Miranda Otto, and Carla Gugino.
‘Fog City’ is set during the construction of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, an era marked by the Great Depression and a sense of uncertainty. The story follows the complex, intertwined lives of five characters, each with their own secrets and motivations.
Cooper Koch, who has already made a name for himself in projects such as ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’ and ‘They/Them,’ will play the role of police inspector Steven Walsh. Angus Imrie, known for his performances in ‘Emma.’ and ‘Mickey 17,’ will take on the part of Martin Hargrove, the son of a wealthy socialite.
Sarah Bolger, who has earned critical acclaim for her roles in ‘The Westies’ and ‘In America,’ will play the role of Liza Orr, a Dust Bowl transplant trying to make a new life for herself in San Francisco. Meanwhile, Miranda Otto, a veteran of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ franchise, will bring to life the character of Dorothy Hargrove, a blackmailing socialite with secrets of her own.
Carla Gugino, who has appeared in a wide range of films, including ‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth’ and ‘Heads of State,’ will star as Inez Burns, an underground abortionist navigating the treacherous underworld of 1930s San Francisco.
The film is currently in production, with a planned shooting schedule that will take the cast and crew between San Francisco and Melbourne through October. Pritzker, who has previously directed historical dramas such as ‘Bolden’ and silent films like ‘Louis,’ is excited to bring his vision to life with the help of this talented cast and crew.
