Shooting at Seattle Food Festival Leaves Three Dead and Four Injured

A devastating shooting at the annual Bite of Seattle food festival on Sunday has left three people dead and at least four others injured. The shooting occurred at the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington, and is believed to be gang-related, although police are still investigating the motive.

The Seattle Police Department is looking for a possible third gunman in the shooting. One of the suspects is a 15-year-old boy who was arrested on Monday and remains in custody. The other suspect is believed to be a 19-year-old man who died at the festival.

According to Mayor Katie Wilson, the 15-year-old suspect waived an initial appearance in court on Monday and is facing charges of firearms violations and first-degree assault. No one has yet been arrested on suspicion of homicide.

The King County medical examiner has released the names of the three people who died in the shooting: Junior Cee Semo, 19; Carlos Villalba, 44; and Ashley Whitehead, 56. Semo is believed to be the second gunman in the shootout and died at the scene, while Villalba and Whitehead died later at a hospital.

Three others who were injured in the shooting have been released from the hospital, while a 2-year-old boy remains in the hospital in satisfactory condition. The shooting occurred during the final day of the festival, which draws about 350,000 people a year.

Assistant Police Chief Nicole Powell said that the shooting may have been gang-related, but cautioned that police are still investigating the motive. She also stated that the 15-year-old suspect and 19-year-old who died in the shooting are believed to be associated with each other.

Police are reviewing bullet casings, viewing raw camera footage, interviewing people, and following up on tips as they continue to investigate the shooting. The public is urged to come forward with any information that may help identify the third suspect.

The shooting has sent shockwaves through the community, and many are left wondering how such a tragedy could occur in a public place. As the investigation continues, the city of Seattle is left to grapple with the aftermath of this senseless violence.
