MCU Crossover Hopes
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has expressed his optimism that Spider-Man and Venom will eventually come together in a Marvel movie. In a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Feige and film producer Amy Pascal discussed the possibility of a crossover between the two characters. While they didn’t confirm anything definitively, their comments hinted that Marvel Studios is aware of the long-awaited meeting between Spider-Man and Venom.
Spider-Man and Venom Crossover Hopes
Horowitz asked the pair if they could reveal how close they’ve gotten to putting Tom Hardy’s Venom in a flick with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Pascal diplomatically replied, ‘It would be great, let’s put it that way.’ When Horowitz pressed further, asking if they had hope for a crossover, Feige vaguely answered, ‘We always have hope.’ Pascal playfully interjected, ‘I have hope. We have hope.’
While this response may not give fans much hope for a Spider-Man and Venom crossover anytime soon, Feige and Pascal did confirm that an animated Venom movie is still in the works. News of this film first broke on February 23, 2026, with Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein set to direct the full-length feature. The project is said to involve names like Amy Pascal and even Tom Hardy himself, though the exact nature of their relationship to the project is still unknown.
Plot details are scarce, leaving fans anxious to know what adventure the Symbiote will go on next. Most are hopeful it’ll at least be a better experience than Venom: The Last Dance, which IGN’s Tom Jorgensen gave a 4 out of 10, citing its ‘boring, generic plot and bad action’ that left audiences equal parts snoozing and confused at the cinema.
This is the latest news we’ve heard about a Spider-Man and Symbiote crossover after Tom Holland discussed the situation in response to a young fan during an interview for Brand New Day. When asked if he thought the Symbiote would appear in the film, Holland replied, ‘One day, I’m sure we’ll get to see the symbiote,’ though he admitted he couldn’t directly say whether or not it appears in the film.
